Playing for change

What is the message?
In video Mark Johnson started up a organization 4 years ago called Playing for change. This organization was made to inspire the people by recording the music from all around the world. Next, they gather the recordings and made it into a music. I think the message of this video is that Music, also can make a difference and give positive impacts to people.

What are your reactions to this?
At first, I couldn't believe that this recording was recorded at different places by different people, because the music was very connected and smooth and united. Also, I was very surprised that people actually can make a very beautiful music no matter where they are.

How do you think this will make a difference?
I think 'Playing for Change' will make a difference, because people can realize that although they are different part of the world, they can make music and be connected to each other or feel they are connected.People might think that they are not part of a group because they are in certain area, however this video shows that Music is one way to include everybody and be united. Also in the video, I noticed that people are smiling and look happy, so playing for change can be making people happy and dragging them out of their miserable life.

Why is it important?
This is important because including everybody is not a easy thing to do, so if everyone give a little attention to people around them, people will feel included. Including people means uniting and gathering people's mind into one, so it makes including so important.

'10,000 Fewer Children Dying Every Day'

When I read this article, I felt that we have making a lot of difference, because 10,000 children are A LOT of children, and it's great that that amount of children are not dying everyday. It says that decrease in deaths can be the reason of increasing in immunizations against measles and other diseases, the growing use of insecticide-treated bednets to prevent malaria, and Vitamin A supplements, which help boost compromised immune systems.

i think we need the world's attention, to save as many children as we could, because although we just donate 2 or 3 ringgit, but if we add the money, it would be thousands and millions of dollars. Many children are dying because of diarrhea, but to us, it's not even a disease. Anyone can cure that if they have money. However, diarrhea, especially for children can very dangerous, because they don't have access to clear water, and if you're having diarrhea, that means you're under dehydration. If EVERYONE can donate a little amount of money instead of buying fashionable clothes we CAN save many people.

"If free health care had been introduced in 2000 when world leaders promised to reduce child mortality by two-thirds, the lives of more than 2 million children could have been saved by now," said Jasmine Whitbread, the head of Save the Children. I agree with her. If we started the process earlier, we could have saved MUCH more children than now. However, it doesn't mean that we are not doing a great job. However, if we give a little bit of attention, we CAN break reduce more under-five death by 2015.
